4/3/2024 EnchantaVaughn Approved Behavior: JaCaeri has started his week off in a negative manner as he self reported he was involved in a verbal altercation with his mother 1x's with moderate intensity for 2 minutes. JaCaeri reported the incident started hen she asked him to get his room cleaned before virtual school and he refused. Behavior: JaCaeri reported it was then that she yelled at him 2-3x's with moderate intensity during the 2 minute incident. Intervention: QMHP-C redirected JaCaeri for being hyperactive during the start of session. QMHP-C engaged JaCaeri in discussion regarding his disrespectful behaviors within the home and community. QMHP-C probed JaCaeri to share what he learned about being a team player during our previous session on respecting authority figures. QMHP-C directed JaCaeri to share at least 3 characteristics of a team player and give an example. Intervention: QMHP-C reinforced the importance of being a leader and doing what is right. QMHP-C completed three leadership activities with JaCaeri. Those exercises were used with the hopes of enhancing JaCaeri’s teamwork and leadership abilities. Response: JaCaeri seemed receptive to today’s individual counseling session in which, presented as initially inattentive during the beginning of today’s session. JaCaeri had a difficult time staying focused and sustaining attention, but was redirected and responded well. JaCaeri was also easily distracted by others within the home. Response: JaCaeri verbalized that he has enjoyed all sessions this week and vowed to continue doing his best to change his negative behaviors at home and community. JaCaeri displayed an understanding of the importance of being a team player as well as a leader.
